The so-called box diet is used by celebrities, but also by busy people who eat on the run. So that your figure and well-being are not affected by the rush, it is worth taking an interest in diet catering. Be sure to check out the advantages and disadvantages. 

Advantages of diet catering

1. saving time

Unfortunately, cooking and preparing healthy meals and snacks takes quite a lot of time. Having children or working, we are not able to prepare quality meals every day. If you want to have more time for other activities, such as working out, it is worth opting for diet catering. A courier will knock on our door every day with food for the day, so we won't have to worry about cooking or shopping.

2 Balanced diet

Meals from catering provide our bodies with the right nutrients - so we are sure to miss out on vitamins and minerals. Before ordering catering, an interview is carried out, in which we need to provide our activity, body weight and height. Based on this, the dietician prepares a menu tailored to our needs. Importantly, we can swap meals or ask for the elimination of products to which we are allergic. This is a healthy way to eat and maintain a slim figure.

Every diet company that does catering tries to make even a low-carbohydrate diet tasty and filling. Breakfasts include delicious whole-grain toast, colourful oatmeal or salads. There are options for gym-goers, vegans, vegetarians and those with food intolerances. However, eliminating ingredients will not make meals bland. Diet chefs strive to make each meal not only wholesome but, above all, tasty!

4. deliveries on selected days

With diet catering, we can easily select the specific days on which we want to use the deliveries. If we go on holiday or want to prepare the meals ourselves, then we mark these days on the calendar. This flexibility means that it is up to us to decide when the courier will deliver our food.

Disadvantages of diet catering

1. high price

Unfortunately, not everyone can afford such convenience - the cost of one day of catering with five meals a day reaches up to PLN 150. It is slightly cheaper in a package, but it is still a high price. Home dinners will be much cheaper, as we do not have to pay extra for daily deliveries. To save money, we can hunt for promotions or opt only for catering on working days. At the weekend, it is worth preparing a healthy meal yourself. The price of such a service will then drop by around PLN 500.

2. no possibility of transportation to certain locations

If you live far away from the city, the cost of catering delivery may increase significantly or such a service may simply not be available. Before paying for an entire diet package for a month, it is essential to check whether the courier will be able to arrive with your order at the address indicated.

3. rigid delivery times

Meals are distributed between 6 and 10 a.m. without the possibility of changing them. This is because diet catering also includes breakfast. This will be an inconvenience for people who work a second shift.

4. no choice of meals

In diet catering, we are not free to choose our meals. We have a choice of 3 or 5 meals, so delivery of breakfast or lunch alone is unfortunately not an option. If you prepare your own lunches or dinners, you can choose the 3-meal-a-day option, which is slightly cheaper.
